Arts and Communications Technology Focus Coordinator
Shauna Dyer is the Arts and Communications Technology Focus Coordinator at Kenmore Middle School. As coordinator, she helps teachers integrate the arts into their instruction, coordinates and leads Professional Development for Kenmore teachers, supports arts teachers at the school in their various projects and collaborations, runs the Kenmore Cougar News program and teaches a video journalism class. Ms. Dyer has been at Kenmore for 19 years and in 2002 was named Kenmore’s Teacher of the Year. Prior to Kenmore, she was the program assistant for the Kennedy Center Alliance for Arts Education Network at the Kennedy Center and prior to that she taught visual arts K-12 in American schools in Kuwait and Madrid. She holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts from the University of Michigan and most recently participated in the Virginia Academy for Excellence in Teaching through George Mason University.
